- Antihypertensive
Dosage and Administration
- Adult:
- Initial: 250mg two to three times daily for 2 days. adjusted after that with a maximum dose of 3g daily or as directed by the physician.
- Maintenance: 500mg to 2g daily or as directed by the physician.
- Administer with or without food.
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to methyldopa or any component of the formulation. Refer to manufacturer labeling for further detail.
Common side-effects
- Dizziness, Fatigue, Sleepiness, Dry mouth, Orthostatic hypotension
