Indications
- Hypertension; Menopausal flushing; Prophylaxis of migraine
Dosage and Administration
- Adult:
- Hypertension: 50 – 100mcg 3 times daily, increases every second or third day; usual maximum dose 1.2mg daily or as directed by the physician.
- Administer with or without food.
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to clonidine or any component of the formulation. Refer to manufacturer labeling for further detail.
Common side-effects
- Drowsiness, Headache, Fatigue, Dizziness, Skin rash, Xerostomia
