Description
Indications
- Hyperthyroidism, Adjunct to radio-iodine therapy, Graves’ disease, Preparation for thyroidectomy
Dosage and Administration
- Adult: Initial dose of 15mg to 60mg daily, may be given in divided doses or as a single dose.
- In euthyroid patients: The usual dose is 5mg to 15mg daily.
- Maintenance dose: 5mg to 15mg daily, or as directed by a physician.
- Administer with food.
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to any component of the formulation. Refer to manufacturer labeling for further details.
Common side-effects
- Bleeding, Edema, Drowsiness, Alopecia. Refer to manufacturer labeling for further details.
