Description
Indications
- Indicated for the prevention of atherothrombotic events in adults patients with acute coronary syndrome (i.e. unstable angina, non-ST segment elevation myocardial infarction (UA/NSTEMI) or ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) undergoing primary or delayed percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI)).
Dosage and Administration
- Adult
- Prasugrel should be initiated with a single 60mg loading dose and then continued at 10mg once a day or as prescribed by the physician.
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to prasugrel, or any component of the formulation. Refer to manufacturer labeling for further detail.
Common side-effects
- Hypertension; Headache; Skin rash; Nausea; Epistaxis
