Description
Indications
- Diabetes mellitus, type 2; Chronic kidney disease; Heart failure with a reduced ejection fraction
Administration
- Extended-release tablet: Administer in the morning with food. Swallow tablets whole; do not crush, cut, or chew.
- Immediate-release tablet: Administer with meals twice daily.
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to dapagliflozin, metformin, or any component of the formulation. Refer to manufacturer labeling for further detail.
Common side-effects
- Acute kidney injury; Bone fractures; Hypersensitivity; Hypotension; Genitourinary fungal infection; Ketoacidosis; GI symptoms; Taste disturbance
