- Diabetes mellitus, type 2
Dosage and Administration
- Usual dose is 1 mg to 2 mg daily initially, which may be increased if necessary to 4 mg daily for maintenance or as prescribed by the physician.
- Administer with food, with breakfast, or the first main meal of the day.
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to glimepiride, other sulfonylureas or sulfonamides, or any component of the formulation. Refer to manufacturer labeling for further detail.
Common side-effects
- Hypoglycemia, Headache, Nausea, Dizziness
