Description
Indications
- Bilaxten (Bilastine) is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of allergic rhino-conjunctivitis (seasonal and perennial) and urticaria.
- Bilaxten is indicated in adults and adolescents (12 years of age and over).
Dosage and Administration
- Adult and adolescents (12 years of age and over): 20 mg (1 tablet) once a day.
- The tablet should be taken one hour before or two hours after the intake of food or fruit juice (grapefruit juice).
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to bilastine, or any component of the formulation. Refer to manufacturer labeling for further detail.
Common side-effects
- Confusion; Dizziness; Sedation; Asthenia; Nausea; Vomiting
Precaution
- May cause weakness. Do not drive or operate machinery, if affected.
