Description
Indications
- Monotherapy in the treatment of partial-onset seizures with or without secondary generalization in patients from 16 years with newly diagnosed epilepsy.
- As adjunctive therapy in the treatment of partial-onset seizures with or without secondary generalization in adults and children from 4 years with epilepsy; myoclonic seizures in adults and adolescents from 12 years with juvenile myoclonic epilepsy.
- Also as adjunctive therapy for patients more than 4 years with primary generalized tonic, clinic seizures.
Dosage and Administration
- As prescribed by the physician.
- Administer with food.
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to levetiracetam, or any component of the formulation. Refer to manufacturer labeling for further details.
Common side-effects
- Dizziness, Drowsiness, Ataxia, Nausea, Vomiting, Skin rash, Constipation, Xerostomia, Weakness, Blurred vision
