Description
Indications
- Baclofen is indicated for symptomatic relief of severe chronic spasticity associated with a variety of conditions.
Dosage and Administration
- Administer with or after food or milk.
- The initial dose is 5mg three times daily for 3 days, increased to 10mg three times daily for 3 days, then in similar increments and intervals until either a dose of 20mg three times daily is reached or until desired therapeutic effect is obtained.
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to baclofen, or any component of the formulation. Refer to manufacturer labeling for further detail.
Common side-effects
- Confusion; Dizziness; Sedation; Asthenia; Nausea; Vomiting
Precaution
- May cause weakness, light-headedness or sleepiness. Do not drive or operate machinery, if affected.
