Description
Indications
- Relief of dyspnea and other symptoms caused by a respiratory obstructive disturbance in the following diseases: bronchial asthma; chronic bronchitis; and pulmonary emphysema.
- For the treatment of acute bronchitis.
Dosage and Administration
- Adult
- Two (2) teaspoonfuls once before bed or twice (in the morning and before bed) daily.
- Children
- Half the adult dose, less than 6 years old: 0.25mL/kg body weight twice (in the morning and before bed) or three times (in the morning, early afternoon, and before bed) daily, or as prescribed by the physician.
- Administer with or without food.
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to procaterol or any component of the formulation. Refer to the package insert for further details.
Common side-effects
- Palpitations, Tachycardia, Headaches, Hypersensitivity reactions
