Administration
- Administer with or without meals.
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to finasteride or any component of the formulation; pregnancy or patients who may potentially be pregnant. Refer to manufacturer labeling for further detail.
Common side-effects
- Sexual dysfunction, Impotence, Orthostatic hypotension, Decreased libido
Precautions
- NIOSH recommends single gloving for administration of intact tablets or capsules (NIOSH 2016).
- Women who are or may become pregnant should avoid contact with crushed or broken tablets.
