Description
Indications
- Otitis Media; Pharyngitis/Tonsillitis; Uncomplicated UTI; Uncomplicated cervical/urethral gonorrhea
Administration
- May administer with or without food. May be taken w/ meals for better absorption & to reduce GI discomfort.
- Directions for Reconstitution: To make 60mL reconstituted suspension mix thoroughly the contents with 2/3 of boiled water and shake well until the powder are evenly suspended. Adjust the volume up to 60mL by adding more water if necessary. The reconstituted suspension should be stored in a refrigerator and should be used within 7 days after reconstitution.
Contraindication
- Hypersensitivity to cefixime or other cephalosporins or penicillins or any component of the formulation. Refer to manufacturer labeling for further detail.
Common side-effects
- Nausea, Diarrhea, Stomach pain, Indigestion
