Description
Indications
- For the symptomatic treatment of:
- allergic rhinitis (including persistent allergic rhinitis)
- urticaria
Dosage and Administration
- Children aged less than 2 years: Not recommended.
- Children aged 2 to 6 years
- The daily recommended dose is 2.5mg in divided doses (1.25mg twice daily)
- Children aged 6 to 12 years
- The daily recommended dose is 5mg
- Or as prescribed by the physician.
- Administer with or without food.
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to levocetirizine, cetirizine, or any component of the formulation. Refer to manufacturer labeling for further detail.
Common side-effects
- Drowsiness, Fatigue, Xerostomia, Nasopharyngitis, Diarrhea
