Description
Indications
- Otitis Media; Pharyngitis/Tonsillitis; Uncomplicated UTI; Uncomplicated cervical/urethral gonorrhea
Dosage and Administration
- As directed by the physician.
- May administer with or without food. May be taken with meals for better absorption & to reduce GI discomfort.
Direction for Reconstitution
- Shake the bottle well to loosen the powder.
- Slowly add 40.8mL warm water up to the mark on the bottle and shake well to yield 60mL of reconstituted suspension.
- Use the reconstituted suspension within 7 days.
- The reconstituted suspension should be stored in a cool, dark place.
- Shake well before use.
Contraindication
- Hypersensitivity to cefixime or other cephalosporins or penicillins or any component of the formulation. Refer to manufacturer labeling for further details.
Common side-effects
- Nausea, Diarrhea, Stomach pain, Indigestion
