Description
Indications
- Amebiasis; Bacterial vaginosis; Intra-abdominal infection; Pelvic inflammatory disease (PID); Skin and soft tissue infection.
Administration
- Extended release: Should be taken on an empty stomach (1 hour before or 2 hours after meals).
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to metronidazole and other nitroimidazoles or any component of the formulation. Refer to manufacturer labeling for further detail.
Common side-effects
- Headache, Dryness in mouth, Nausea, Glossitis, Metallic taste, Stomatitis, Muscle pain
