Description
Indications
- Mycobacterium avium complex (MAC) infection; Pneumonia-community acquired; Sexually transmitted infections; Respiratory tract infections; Skin and soft tissue infections.
Administration
- Add 9mL of freshly boiled & cooled water to the powder using the measuring cup enclosed. Shake it at least for 2 minutes. The reconstituted suspension should be stored at 25°C.
- May administer with or without food. May be taken w/ meals for better absorption & to reduce GI discomfort.
Contraindication
- Hypersensitivity to azithromycin, other macrolide antibiotics, or any component of the formulation. Refer to manufacturer labeling for further detail.
Common side-effects
- Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting, Abdominal pain, Skin rash
