Description
Indications
- Mycobacterium avium complex (MAC) infection; Pneumonia-community acquired; Sexually transmitted infections; Respiratory tract infections; Skin and soft tissue infections.
Administration
- Tap to loosen powder and reconstitute with 9mL of water, then fill up to the mark on the bottle when necessary and shake thoroughly several times. Shake until powder are uniformly mixed.
- May administer with or without food. May be taken w/ meals for better absorption & to reduce GI discomfort.
Contraindication
- Hypersensitivity to azithromycin, other macrolide antibiotics, or any component of the formulation. Refer to manufacturer labeling for further detail.
Common side-effects
- Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting, Abdominal pain, Skin rash
