Description
Indications
- For initial treatment or retreatment of pulmonary tuberculosis in association with other tuberculosis agents.
Dosage and Administration
- 10mg/kg body weight with a daily maximum dosage of 600mg or as prescribed by the doctor.
- Administer on an empty stomach (Take 1 hr. before or 2 hr. after meals).
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to rifampicin or any component of the formulation. Refer to manufacturer labeling for further details.
Common side-effects
- Flu-like symptoms, Skin rash, Urticaria, Stevens-Johnson syndrome
