XYZAL (Levocetirizine diHCl) 5mg Tablet

Description

Indications

• For the symptomatic treatment of:
  • allergic rhinitis (including persistent allergic rhinitis)
  • urticaria

Dosage and Administration

• Children aged less than 2 years: Not recommended.
• Children aged 2 to 6 years
  • The daily recommended dose is 2.5mg in divided doses (1.25mg twice daily)
• Children aged 6 to 12 years
  • The daily recommended dose is 5mg
• Adults and Adolescents 12 years and above
  • The daily recommended dose is 5mg
• Or as prescribed by the physician.
• Administer with or without food.

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity to levocetirizine, cetirizine, or any component of the formulation. Refer to manufacturer labeling for further detail.

Common side-effects

• Drowsiness, Fatigue, Xerostomia, Nasopharyngitis, Diarrhea
